Rechka does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours anywhere. Your recordings are transcribed on the iPhone itself, and the audio never leaves it.
All of it lives in the app's own storage on your iPhone — in a container the app shares with its own extensions, so that a recording sent from another app's share sheet lands in the same place. None of it is uploaded to us, because we run no servers of any kind.
So that a transcript survives a lost phone or a reinstall, Rechka syncs text, phrases and time codes through your own private iCloud database (CloudKit). That data belongs to your Apple Account: it is stored under your account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and we have no access to it whatsoever. Audio and video are never synced — an hour of recording is hundreds of megabytes of your iCloud, and a transcript is a few kilobytes. You can turn the sync off for this app in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
The microphone is used when you record, the camera when you film, and the photo library only to save a video you have just shot, or to let you hand the app one video you pick yourself. Rechka never reads your library on its own and asks for nothing until the moment you use the feature. All of it is processed on the device.
Recognition runs entirely on your iPhone, through Apple's own on-device speech engine and through models that run locally: Parakeet TDT 0.6b v3 by NVIDIA (CC BY 4.0) and pyannote speaker-diarization-community-1 (CC BY 4.0), used via the FluidAudio library (Apache 2.0). Your audio is not sent to these projects, to us, or to anyone else — the models are files that run on your phone.
Rechka connects to the network for one purpose: to fetch those model files. Normally the App Store delivers them together with the app itself; if the files are missing, the library downloads them from a public model repository. Either way what travels is the model, never your recordings. Once the model is in place the app works in airplane mode.
Deleting a recording in the app removes its audio, its source video and its transcript. Deleting the app removes everything left on the device; transcripts already synced are removed with the app's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Rechka is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.
