- How do I get in touch?
- Email support@profy.top. A real person reads it.
- Where does my audio go?
- Nowhere. Recognition runs on the iPhone itself: there is no account, no server of ours and no queue. Once the recognition model is in place, the app works in airplane mode.
- Then what does it download on the first launch?
- The recognition model, and nothing else. It is a large file, so the App Store delivers it the way it delivers the app — in the background, with a progress bar you can watch. Your recordings are never part of that traffic.
- Which languages does it recognise?
- Twenty-five are recognised on the device by the app's own model: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Ukrainian. Japanese, Korean and Chinese go through the recognition built into iOS.
- How do I send a recording from another app?
- Use the share sheet. In Messages, WhatsApp, Mail or Voice Memos, tap Share on the file and pick Rechka — the transcript appears without opening the app first.
- What can I get out of it?
- The text as TXT, or subtitles as SRT with time codes. Translation and summary run through the tools already built into iOS, right on the transcript.
- The voices got mixed up.
- Splitting a recording by speaker is marked beta for a reason: on short remarks the voices are sometimes confused. Long turns are reliable, and you can rename any voice yourself.
- I closed the app in the middle of a long recording.
- Nothing is lost. The transcript is written as it goes, and the next time you open the app it continues from the second it reached.
- How do I delete everything?
- Delete a recording and its audio, its source video and its transcript go with it. Delete the app and everything left on the device goes too; transcripts already in iCloud are removed in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
